The active ingredient in MultiFly is Novaluron, an Insect Growth Regulator that is 99.9% effective at breaking the life cycle of house and stable flies in horse manure. A single daily scoop for each horse in the barn will dramatically reduce the fly population.

Regarding safety concerns, we have many MultiFly customers with pets that consume manure, but we cannot make any claims about the safety or efficacy for animals other than horses. The Novaluron active ingredient has been tested in non-equine species like cattle and goats, but we advise consulting your veterinarian before use in other livestock or pets.

MultiFly is not a fly repellent - it is an Insect Growth Regulator that prevents flies from reproducing in manure, rather than targeting existing adult flies. Our customers often see results in as little as 3 days, with significant reductions in fly populations within 2-4 weeks, as that is the average lifespan of a fly.

For dosage, the standard recommendation is 1 scoop daily for average-sized equines (1100 lbs or less). For smaller horses (550 lbs or less), you may use half a scoop, and for larger horses over 1100 lbs, 2 scoops per day.
